Libraries are known for our books, movies, and music. What you may not know is the Portage County Public Library also has dozens of gadgets, devices, and tools available for checkout in our Library of Things!
Thanks to a generous donation by the Portage County Public Library Foundation, we acquired a number of non-traditional items that patrons can borrow for two weeks from the Stevens Point Branch. Would you like to stare into space with a telescope, or try bird watching with our binoculars? Do you need a kit of tools to decorate a cake, or a full tool kit? GoPro camera, fiber arts supplies, or photo/video lighting kit and green screen? We have all that and more. It's a great option if you just need something once or twice, or you'd like to try a "thing" before you buy it!

Patrons must have an account in good standing, and provide a photo ID at checkout. (Items cannot yet be reserved online.) For more information, including the availability of specific items, please call the Stevens Point reference desk at 715-346-1548 or the Almond Branch at 715-366-2151.
